That would be such a foolish trade for Ottawa. They finally have a somewhat capable top 4 D core. Trading away Ceci would again put them back in the bottom 5 in the league for overall defenceman.

While you're right that it's just an ek rumour, and probably isn't even discussion worthy.
Since we're here anyway...

If pc's last trade has taught us anything;
It's that the returns for our talented forwards aren't what we hoped.
And chiarelli is ok with moving for a guy who's abit of a stretch for what we need right this second. but could also turn into a slam dunk in the not too distant future

I'm not implying hall for larsson or nuge for Ceci are prudent moves today by any stretch.
